RecipeBox is the official blog for the android smart phone app, RecipeBox. My husband and I try to share any fun recipes we have tried here on our blog because we love to cook, and we love to share what we know with others.
It started as a desire to try to make an app for your smart phone so that you could easily have a record of your favorite recipes no matter where you were. At the time we were doing a lot of traveling to our parents' houses and they were eager to try the recipes we were bragging about on Facebook. We also thought it would be fun and to make it easier to share recipes, and just to cook them in different places even if you didn't bring your recipe book and cook books with you!
My husband did all of the software development, and I created the user interface design as well as this blog you are reading here today. We want cooking to be fun, easy to read and access, and easy to share.
Everyone
has to eat. Eating is a social activity. Eating together strengthens
relationships and forges bonds. What if we could extend that and make
cooking a community activity? People need to eat. People crave
connection with others. Sounds like a good combination to us.
Let us know if you want any of the recipes we have shared on this blog, and I will happily email them to you, at which point you can open them on your phone and use them with our app we created. Simple.
